Carol was born and raised in Mount Vernon, Westchester County, New York in 1949 where she was formerly known as Carol Anne Ferreira. Carol & her husband, Bob, were married in 1972 in Corona, New York. They have lived in Holiday, Florida since 1974 and they share their home with their two cats -K.C. "Kitter" Cat and P. C. "Pumpkin" Cat.

Carol & Bob attend Calvary Chapel Worship Center. Personal interests include: Christian fellowship, shopping, fine dining, racquetball, co-ed softball, yoga, Pilates, personal fitness training, golf, international travel, the internet, community involvement and sitting down with a good book. Kemp Real Estate, Inc. was established in 1984. It was originally known as Kemp & Bastedo, Inc. Carol is involved with the PALS single parent ministry of the church.
